Project Overview

Dual Inventive required a professional auditorium space to support presentations, briefings and internal events. The room needed to feel polished and confident for external audiences, while remaining straightforward to operate by staff with varying levels of technical experience.

1stintheatre was engaged to design and supply a modern lighting system with intuitive control, capable of supporting everything from formal presentations to more dynamic events.

The Challenge

The auditorium brief focused on clarity, usability and flexibility:

• Provide clean, professional lighting for presenters and speakers

• Allow the space to adapt easily to different layouts and formats

• Keep operation simple and reliable for non-specialist users

• Avoid locking the room into a single-use configuration

The Solution

1stintheatre delivered a colour-mixing LED lighting solution, paired with ETC-based lighting control to provide familiar, reliable operation and precise control over presentation lighting.

Profile fixtures were used to deliver controlled front light for speakers, ensuring faces were well-lit without spill or glare. High-output LED Fresnels provided flexible wash lighting, allowing the room to shift easily between functional presentation use and more polished event setups.

The ETC control platform allows users to recall scenes quickly and make simple adjustments as required, while still offering deeper control when needed.

A mobile truss solution was selected to give the auditorium flexibility without permanent structural changes, allowing the lighting layout to evolve as the space is used in different ways.

• 4 × eLumen8 Virtuoso 2000 Fresnel RGBAL fixtures with barn doors for flexible wash lighting
